Fashion In The Sand- HOT, HOT, HOT

As temperatures climb what to do? Drop the kids off at the Montauk Downs pool (YES, it is open) and head for the wonderfully cool shops that fill Montauk’s town. They are cool AND they are AIR CONDITIONED! I am so happy this summer since there is not one really prevalent trend. You can go Maxi or Mini. Dresses or pants. The one overall trend I do see is a certain “Lady Like” way about most clothes. You can not just throw on an old t-shirt and look hip. Those in the know are taking a certain care and looking like they spent a moment to think about their ensemble. Be comfortable but chic. I found that dressing in something that looks cool and breezy made me feel just a little less like a sweltering, melting mess.

Montauk Dazies can help solve all your hot weather clothing issues. Debbie has a big selection of very beachy and lovely dresses that look and feel effortless but you are sure to turn heads while wearing them. I love this long tie die dress. Hides a multitude of insecurities and you can look fabulous even after eating huge lobster dinner. Or just slip it on first thing in the morning and you are dressed and ready to go run to the bakery for your ICED coffee. If you feel over whelmed by a maxi dress go mini in a sleek one shouldered number. Not too risque, but shows just enough skin. The best skin at that: calves and shoulders are most women’s best features. Most of her dresses can take you from the beach to the Yacht Club for cocktails and still be able to chase your kids and not get hung up in your out fit.
