So the sun has finally shone itself and upon us! After all the rain I took myself out to shop as a celebration. Thank goodness April finally ended. I was getting a bit loopy and wondering if I would never put away my fleece and cashmere. Now all those cute little cover ups can be covering up a bathing suit and not being worn as a scarf with your fleece as you shiver on the beach watching your kids dig holes. HooRay, rush the kids out to the beach. Of course do not forget the sunscreen.
Then after the beach head over to Gosman’s Dock for hotdogs for the kids and little necks for mom and dad. Take a walk around and check out the shops and definitely stop into Summer Stock. This is where I selected the very festive and 4th ready outfits for brother and sis. The sweaters are both from Claver at $56. The shorts from Jeanine Johnson $44 and the red print dress Funky Kids $34. Of course those comfy chunky cotton sweaters can be worn all year long and bring back fond memories of summer, July 4th celebrations, and melted butter running down your chin.
Just to recap my shopping pick this week:

Welcome to Kid Montauk’s Fashion Blog, “Fashion In the Sand”. I am very excited to do this since Montauk is slowly but surely becoming a great place to shop for the whole family. There are quite a few new shops in town this season and I will visit every one! Well, I already have. I have noticed that the price point in Montauk is much more affordable than some of the other Hamptons. Each week I will high light an outfit for about $100 for mom or Dad and some weeks for kids at about $50.
