Hiking and Biking Trails- Montauk Parks
These Parks have printed trail maps available at the Park entrance. There are miles and miles of hiking and biking trails in Montauk. Just make sure you obey the law and only stay on biking trails as marked. Check for ticks after any hike and prepare by wearing socks and pants if the weather permits. Use big and tick spray if you can. Take the kids and have fun exploring!
Camp Hero State Park
Located in the area formerly occupied by the US Air Force Base and “Camp Hero” Army base. Entrance is just east of the Lighthouse.

Shadmoor State Park
Located between the Village and Ditch Plains on the Ocean beach.
The parking area is located on Montauk Hwy. (Rte. 27) about 1/2 mile east of the village.
Theodore Roosevelt County Park
The site of the oldest working cattle ranch in the US, this is the area where Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders came to recuperate after the battle of San Juan Hill.
