OMG!!! It is the SHOE SALE! HURRY! I think I have some space to put a few more pairs. Hmmmmm what do I need. Need?!&^$@$#@ I WANT more shoes. Always. Guess what? You too can get more shoes for cheap at the Shoe-In shoe sale in Amagansett at the American Legion. It’s right across the highway from Brent’s Deli. I am sure you have seen the huge poster hung up on the fence. I can’t tell you how many pairs of great shoes I have bought there. It is definitely something I look forward to every summer. If you are around into next week wait and go Monday the 22nd. They will have BOOTS and HANDBAGS!I have a few shopping tips:
- Do NOT take your kids. Shoes require all your attention. It is very tight between all the tables filled with shoes. You can’t be chasing kids and shoes.
- Buy your size! Don’t think the shoes will stretch. They never do. All you get is vicious blisters. Your feet will not grow into them either like your kids.
- Do not buy the crazy pink polka dot feather embellished shoes that you may wear next summer – you won’t.
- If you never wear heels you are not going to start now.
- If you never wear flats you should start. Especially if you have kids.
- If you see a basic pump that will go with everything and you do not have a good basic pump BUY THEM! They won’t go bad.
- If you see your favorite shoes in brown that you already wear to death in black BUY THEM!
- Don’t hyper ventilate. In through the nose out through the mouth.
